About the Academy
Credible wellness education, rooted in the Thames Valley
Thames Wellness Academy is a women-owned training organisation delivering Yoga Alliance Professionals-certified programmes across Berkshire and Reading.
Our story
Who we are
We exist to raise the standard of further education for the wellness sector. Our programmes combine academic rigour with personal growth, preparing graduates for safe, effective teaching across corporate, studio and therapeutic settings.
Co-founded by Raili Maripuu of Goyoga Tallinn and Katia Major of Yoga Reading, the Academy draws on decades of studio leadership and clinical practice across Berkshire, Tallinn and beyond.
Trading publicly as Berkshire Yoga Training, we keep a clear brand identity: Thames Wellness Academy for the institution, Berkshire Yoga Training for the live domain while DNS and brand cutover continue.

Accreditation
Standards and certification
Foundation Training pathways are designed for Yoga Alliance Professionals recognition, from 200-hour Foundation through advanced levels, subject to programme completion requirements.
CPD and specialist workshops follow the same professional bar: clear outcomes, supervised practice where relevant, and teaching that is safe to take into studio, corporate and therapeutic settings.
Where we train
Berkshire, Reading and the Thames Valley
Programmes are delivered on site across Berkshire and the wider Thames Valley, including studio, corporate and therapeutic settings in Reading, Windsor and Newbury. We are not an app-based or fully remote academy.
Reading and the surrounding Thames Valley remain our teaching heartland, with cohorts sized for real feedback in the room. Full guidance for driving, train, bus and walking is on our Location page.
